Why isn't it "right"? They're using their allotment on food, and high quality protein at that. Perhaps the cost will crowd out potato chip purchases (also considered "food").

The kicker is that this person wasn't buying the goods for personal consumption but to resell these expensive items for cash. Guess he had to resort to these maneuvers since SNAP is now all electronic and recipients can no longer exchange the paper credits for cash like the good old days.

And before our resident race hustler(s) hurl their bombs, Google the individual - "Louis Wayne Cuff".

Ok. I'm reminded of how employees will game the vacation/sick leave system, if you provide both types. Perhaps social assistance should be one check to cover all expense types, but I think that might lead some to worse abuses.
