Why do you feel certain turning a door knob will open a door? Only your brain learned it worked from a very young age.

However, I think the written word is an excellent resource that allows some to prove or disprove the existance of a God (to themselves) and allows them to defend their position. I believe the truth lies in the essence of the individuals connection to the spirituality and omnipotence of the Almighty. With or without the written text, the knowledge of God as Spirit, Truth, and Life itself, defies explanation and needs no defense.
