how can you possibly assume that science wont bring me everlasting happiness
I'll attempt very briefly to explain.
Science has not determined the source of life or spirit, it hasn't determined who we are. It is the most important question, yet it is ignored.
Are we the body? If so, what part? The body changes every 7 years. Every single cell is gone. The brain changes every few days. So we are not the body.
Are we the mind? Obviously not, people change their mind, they refer to it as if they own it. They say "I changed my mind". So, who are we?
Do we exist. Only a fool would ask this question... Do some research on the differences between animate and inanimate matter. Animate matter has 8 differences to matter. The ability to adapt, reproduce, defend, etc etc.
This is the question that will lead to the conclusion that you are not made of matter. Since science is the study of matter. Science will never give you everlasting happiness. Matter will never give you that which u seek. It's like trying to eat ice cream with a plastic glove over your tounge.
This is a very deep subject, and many people don't like it, because once the conclusion is found, it brings up many other questions, like "what is the goal of life" etc.

sorry lundy,
I cant see how you can possibly prove or substantiate either of those claims
why are you sorry? you sit on some pedestal of ignorance and you are sorry for me? I guess ignorance is bliss. And us poor knowledgable folks need your sympathy.

sorry lundy ...no you don't know that, you can only beleive it. (and there's nothing wrong with that)
I can prove that there is a mathematical formula in the market. Do I need to do that? I think that would give away my edge.
