Pffffttt. :p :p :p

Amen.

Actually this whole affair has been a huge eye opener for me. I never realised the sheer power of controvosy. I didn't realise that by marching into town with all guns blazing and spewing babble that you would be guaranteed so much attention.

For me, I thought SE was a prankster from his first post but it seems that some people are hooked. Geez if you want to learn trading then spend $50-100 and buy a book by Jeff Cooper or Dave Landry or if you are real serious about daytrading then follow Kevin Haggerty.

SE, hats off to you for creating a tempest out of nothing. I'm going back to working on my business plan.

Yeah, buy a book by Cooper or Landry, and if you are real serious follow Haggerty.

You must be kidding?

Well, for those that believed SE had something to teach, I would suggest you go to www.qqqdaytrader.com and sign up for the trial. They use the same methods being promoted by SE.
That's why I asked the questions about what SE was doing, since I had already taken the trial and knew what they were doing...almost a duplicate method.

So, before you start saying SE was just pulliing our chains for his fancy, check out the site and found out what they are doing! It will look very familar. :)

qqqdaytrader does very well.
Nope not associated with them, and left since they don't signal the emini's.

Does anybody watch TV or go to the movies around here? SE (FasterEgoCat) is a Muse. Also, she is stirring up controversy for its own sake. That doesn't make the message any more right or wrong. For those who appreciate her style and message. gp for it. For those who didn't, ignore it.

RS7, I will miss you as everybody's opinion is equally valuable or not as the case may be. If I stick around.

I for one will miss superego. It was entertaining although I could not read all the posts so sometimes I felt out of the loop. But if Alan Farley really did not get lawyers involved (I suspect this to be true) I gained a great deal of respect for him via his post ). From what I read Tony Oz was not over the line either, although maybe he was a little sensitive but I can understand why.

As a former lawyer I laugh (and get a little cynical) when public people start trying to protect their image by sending out letters attempting to suppress free speech. When you are a public person it is very difficult to prevail in such cases. If a guy states an opinion or states the truth, a public figure almost always has to live with it. (This is true as of the last time I looked up the case law which I doubt will change since it was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court) It is the price of being a public figure. So to me superego's rants were entertaining and I wish to see him bring more guru's into the fray. So if you have an opinion about a public figure and it is based on fact, you should feel it is your right as an american (I dont know about other countries) to be critical of people (good thoughts or bad). It is your right but you do not have to execise it.

Now it is another matter altogether about whether the owner of a forum has to allow the free speech to be published. For instance a record company may be allowed to decide to not put out a cd because they do not like the message or the lyrics. It is even a more sticky question about when elitetrader may exercise editorial control. I suspect they can but I am not as familiar with this area of the law as I believe it has been changing. I know AOL has dealt with these issues.

So this is my public service and long live superego. By the way this is not meant to insult rs7. You can have you own mission too. If fact I guess in a way with respect to se you were part of the entertainment.

Would someone please stand up and be se2?

I can understand people not appreciating SE's approach, but to say that he couldn't teach us something just doesn't make sense.

He was starting from the beginning, giving the basics, and he was getting more involved as time went on. It's difficult to teach trading, especially from a message board.

I have been trading professionally for 8 years and I can honestly say that I benefited from his trading style. I only wish that he continued.

I just think that he offended some frustrated, low-self esteem people with his direct opinions. And I don't mean Tony, Tony handled himself very professionally, I can't say that for rs7 and babak. especially rs7, it's hard to belive that you can be so occupied by this.

In a perfect word he would have just educated us with his trading views, but, unfortunately the world isn't perfect and we got some other "junk" along with it.

So, SE, it you are reading this, come back to the boards, shed some light, and continue your mission. Who cares about the critics, finnish what you set out to do!

You said so well. SE come back! Forget about ppl like RS7, who is so insure!

How many people would actually spend so much time trying to explain a system like SE came up with unless it was a sham, considering he had never shown his face around b4? Why didnt he just write a book?

RS7 actually had some great pointers, but they were general things, extremenly helpful, and applicable in a different way to each person.

Yeah of course I'm kidding. Nothing to learn from serious pro's who've been in the business decades, much better to take advice from a faceless alias on a message board who can make any unsubstantiaed claim they want.

Well said. Why listen to someone with a proven record like Tony Oz when you can listen to someone making up nonsense as they go along?

SE made a good point about the importance of MA's, although I used weighted MAs on an interval chart using 12 intervals, spaced 10 seconds apart, rather than 1,2, or 5 minute charts. (with 5 minute charts I find it is over before I get a signal).

When SE posted something about using 222 intervals, I kinda thought he might be feeding some BS but I found that by culling through his stuff, I was able to gain a few insights.

Like a lot of other traders I need advanced charting to really make sense of things, so I blend NQ, ES, QQQ, and three stocks from the family I'm trading into one line on a chart as described above. That way I have one black line with current value of my six components, and a red line which is my moving average. Its simple and it works. Aside from my MA I pay no attention to other technicals because for everyone that says buy, one says sell.

I liked the whole SE thing, someday when I actually have something major to contribute I may take on a persona of INSANE IDIOT SAVANT TRADER who isn't toilet trained, barks like a dog, but can trade like a son of a gun.
