The rule is do not trade an EA unless you understand it. I do not know the reason behind the buy starting over at 0.01. Perhaps those huge sells will crash this system...I simply do not know this EA yet.

As this system Zig-Zags through its progression, eventhough it just realized a positive NAV, it is at its most vulnerable position since this thread started.

If the price comes back down...well this would be a great disservice to the readers here. It must come back down to realize what I would call a reset.

If it leaves a trail of larger sells behind it in a uptrend they will get huge...maybe not...this EA may be smarter than I think...but I doubt it!

Keep reading and hope for blood in the streets! Then this test will be worth it and will answer a lot of questions...if not... another day will come where this system will blow up. Any martingale blows up...some of them last longer than others.

Look...This is a losing EA posted in the public domain....yeah...yeah..there is a positive NAV that happened very quickly (this may be a problem in itself)...so what!..if this system does not survive who cares.

What did you expect, the keys to the front door of the bank?

P.S. I hope this thread can be a place where experienced traders can send their students and friends to discover thought processes to learn. I only have some of the answers, but this thread should be a slow tutorial helping the trader or reminding the experienced trader a correct path to consider. I hope some of you are getting some ideas from this thread and are being motivated!
 
Traders...I can tell you what I would do if I were "live" in this system and trading it now.

I would have closed all of the trades and bagged the $284 bucks profit and started over. Thats what I would have done. The risk of just letting the EA run to test is one thing...but live trading is a completely different experience. I WOULD NEVER LEAVE THAT RISK ON AND WALK AWAY FROM THE QUICK $284 BUCKS JUST BECAUSE THE EA SAYS SO...

I would never live with those huge trades sitting there waiting to take me out. Also the quick turn around in this long-term system is a slap in the face indication something is wrong!

Here is the monthly chart to give an idea about what the range can be compared to what this thread has seen...remember this is the monthly bars...so just look at the last bar and then compare it to the monster range and imagine how this system might handle that?... This is a fricken nightmare waiting to happen...this will be fun to watch the blow up...this system needs at least 10K not 4K...and it will still blow up!

I thought I would capture this for your viewing pleasure. This puppy is so heavily leveraged that each tick nearly destroys the account...HeHe (there are only five open trades). If the blue line gets taken out that would be an equivalent of a reset. Even if I started with 100K I would never trade this live (just take a look at the monthly chart of cable then you will understand).
