Super duper rich preparing for end of world! Hmmm, yep you go and do that!

I have been hearing about this lately and sort of thinking here we go again....seems like every time there are changes coming people want to prepare for the worse, what do the super rich know that we don't? I'm sure alot since they know secrets we don't know ...usually the rich have that advantage....I sort of laugh at this because it seems these doomsayers are wrong 99.9999% of the time, maybe even 100% of the time now that I think of it....I laughed through out the article thinking if it were the end of the world how far would the rich and wealthy actually get, I mean the CEO of Reddit said he bought a motorcycle to probably weave his way in and out of traffic, but little does he know that highways and any roads will be completely blocked, there would be zero access in and out of all cities, everything would be at a complete standstill....he needs to go back and rethink his game plan.... And people buying homes in new Zealand, really? Ha. Anyway if you want a good laugh read the article below and comment.

I had a co-worker who was a self-aware prepper, i.e. he did all the crazy prepper stuff but realized how crazy it looked to the rest of us and was able to laugh at himself for it. Anyway, one strategy he had that I thought actually wasn't a half-bad idea was to have a couple bottles of Jack Daniels stashed in his cars. His theory was that gold bars and paper money may not be worth much to a bunch of people who believe the world is ending, but you could probably trade almost anything for a bottle of Jack!

I had a co-worker who was a self-aware prepper, i.e. he did all the crazy prepper stuff but realized how crazy it looked to the rest of us and was able to laugh at himself for it. Anyway, one strategy he had that I thought actually wasn't a half-bad idea was to have a couple bottles of Jack Daniels stashed in his cars. His theory was that gold bars and paper money may not be worth much to a bunch of people who believe the world is ending, but you could probably trade almost anything for a bottle of Jack!

Or better yet a still. People act like it is a big deal to survive, when in fact nature provides just about all you ever need for free. Now, survival in the city is another matter. They should drop people off at the bus station with no money or id and see how they do. That would be survival training. Otherwise, I look back at those old Civil War pictures and that's about what we are talking about, the kind of civilization we would have if we lost crude and electricity. In some ways it was actually much more civilized.

I remember those days...I remember how scared everyone was, I laughed and thought it was going to be just another day, and it was just another day....fools for thinking y2k was going to be something significant.

They should drop people off at the bus station with no money or id and see how they do. That would be survival training. Otherwise, I look back at those old Civil War pictures and that's about what we are talking about, the kind of civilization we would have if we lost crude and electricity. In some ways it was actually much more civilized.

Today most wouldn't survive a day or two with out necessities.... I know this because I literally know about 4-5 people who can't even function without a cup of coffee in the morning before the start to their day. I mean they are just non functioning... And if they don't have their coffee they get moody...they will get that headache from the caffeine withdrawal... For me, I don't drink coffee, never have never will, my go to is tea but I don't need it to function. I can skip a whole day without food and sleep and still function..

The doomsday clock has been set closer to midnight - this just happened and may explain why the rich are bracing for impact.

"The Chicago-based Bulletin of Atomic Scientists has moved the “Doomsday Clock,” a symbolic countdown to the end of the world, to two and a half minutes to midnight.

It marks the first time since 1953 — after hydrogen bomb tests in the US and then Soviet Union — that humanity has been this close to global disaster.

The group cited US President Donald Trump’s “careless rhetoric” on nuclear weapons and views on climate change among other factors, including cyber threats and scientific developments, that have contributed to the darkened forecast.

The emblematic clock had remained at three minutes to midnight for the past two years.

In a statement released earlier this week, the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists said it was taking a number of recent developments into account.

“A rise in strident nationalism worldwide, President Donald Trump’s comments on nuclear arms and climate issues, a darkening global security landscape that is colored by increasingly sophisticated technology, and a growing disregard for scientific expertise,” were among them, it said."
