It is still a major destination though for the homeless.
The socialists in city government keep flying those plans to tax local corporations for a homeless tax or whatever the term is this year. Those would be the very same corporations they are committed to driving out.
Then when they leave the socialists cry that those corporations were never committed to the city anyway. That makes for nice lefty-speak but the problem with it is that they are also driving out/closing down lots and lots of local businesses that have been there for decades and loved the city- warts and all.
Those fuckers would loot Uwajimaya's in Seattle in a heartbeat. A store started by the family after they got out of the Japanese relocation camps in WW2. The family put all their outrage and injustice from being interned aside and suffered plenty of discrimination but have done nothing but try to contribute to Seattle. Meanwhile some racial butt-hurter who did not get his check this week or objects to Trumps latest tweet will go in there and burn it down if they get a chance.
