Although it wasn't for quite as an extended period, Comcast took over Mediaone in Michigan, and it was 3 1/2 weeks of hell. What made it worse was that they were advertising relentlessly on CNBS, while I was trying to get through to support, listening to bs on top of bs-the one I liked the best was the suggestion that I should upgrade to their "professional service" if I was trying to make a living online. After weeks of intermintent service and no service for 3 weekends, they finally seem to have made the transition. I'm anxiously awaiting the compensation, which they would not reveal over the phone-what the F---
