My observations and analysis regarding day trading index vs individual names:

I scalp and found Index like SPY and QQQ difficult to scalp because they are very choppy in second/min time frame. Names are much less so.

So, I selected names to day trade.

Any insights on day trading index futures, i.e., time frame, etc.?

Seconds trading on any instrument and any asset class is unreliable, the banking systems aren't accurate enough so the time and the price push past support/resistance points which on any other timeframe work.

Depends how much capital you are deploying, how much average profit per trade you are expecting, indexes are a basket of instruments so you would expect that, MN15 and above for futures, at least that's what's used prop trading for funds.

Nvidia took over from Tesla for volatility, I received a research note last week, try overlaying Nvidia on Bitcoin.
