Sugar daddies paying for college degrees

Quote from S2007S:

Isnt it sad how many guys are suckered into looks and are willing to pay hundreds of thousands for this, I dont care how much money one has, its pretty pathetic, and secondly why didnt they add in a website for cougars that want to pay for a young guys college education!

Can't Afford College? Let a Sugar Daddy Pay

It's the beginning of May, when high school seniors have to put their money where their intentions are. Deposits are needed to confirm a spot in college this fall. What if you're not sure you'll have enough money to pay the full tuition bill?

Never fear, some creepy old man is here.

A while back, SeekingArrangements.com came out with the top schools for young coeds looking for older, richer men who might be willing to help out with college costs. SeekingArrangements specializes in matching so-called Sugar Daddies with Sugar Babies seeking "Mutually Beneficial Relationships® & Mutually Beneficial Arrangements™." (Yes, they've registered and trademarked those phrases.)

The college with the most coeds signing up to the website was Georgia State. Nearly 300 (presumably) female students had opened accounts. Go Panthers! If you're lucky, you'll never be cougars!

Following closely in second place was New York University, with Temple University in third, University of Central Florida in fourth, and University of South Florida in fifth. In fact, four of the top 15 schools are in Florida. Ladies, look around. You're in Florida. There are plenty of old geezers with cash. You don't need to go on a website.
But wait. There's more.

What's the best way to succeed as a Sugar Baby? "Be brutally honest."

That's one piece of advice from the SeekingArrangement's "Sugar Baby Dos and Don'ts" blog, which suggests "The best Sugar Baby and Sugar Daddy relationships form out of brutal honesty." Really? Because that doesn't seem the best way to score $200,000 over the next four years.

Other advice includes "Don't Settle—'This is how Sugar Babies end up in Splenda relationships. Pick wisely and stick to your standards.' " So, in other words, make sure he pays for books, too, or the whole deal is off.

But my favorite tip is "Don't: Rely on Sugar for Income." Ok ... just rely on him for college. "Sugaring is not welfare" the blog warns. "Consider it like an end-of-the-year bonus that comes every month."

You know, it might just take a college degree to figure out the best way to approach this. Good luck, kids. And Go Panthers!

What does this have to do with trading?

Quote from smallStops:

I am now realising that, like in trading , in love only 3% are winners.
Now, I would really have the secret of these 3%.
And obviously, I want to understand the 97%, so as to see what mistakes not to make.

I can't resist sharing my somewhat unconventional philosophy here.
One of the truest axioms ever spoken was Chris Rock's brilliant observation: "A man is as faithful as his options".

Some guys have both money and 'game', i.e. the ability to say the right 'panty dropping' type words at the right moment. (If you have sufficient game, you really don't even need money to attract hot chicks.) So what do most of these lucky guys do? They end up turning a blessing into a curse by inevitably finding that special someone and pledging monogamy to her. Then a couple years later he inevitably gets itchy for a little side-action. If said hot side-action falls right into his lap, he can't possibly turn down the opportunity, and he cheats. Then he must naturally tell lie after lie to his main woman, dragging down the relationship's entire structure of integrity. Whether those lies are exposed or not is irrelevant- The dude screwed up by putting himself in a position where lying and cheating are next to unavoidable.

So what does a clever guy do instead? Never pledge monogamy, no matter what! (You can still get married though, by redefining what the word 'marriage' means to you and to her.) The basic philosophy goes like this, and it works both ways in the main committed relationship: "If you have to fuck someone, go for it... just don't lie to me!" This works much better than the normal way of doing things- it really does.

Seriously, who the f*** cares? Hey, you are willing to take a chance of catching a disease, or some psycho, go for it, on both sides. Be a whore, and that applies to either side of the equation, deal with the consequences if caught and quit crying about it if you are caught.

Well... some people do care, as some prefer to see what mistakes others are making, so as not to make the same.

in africa they do it even better. the sugar daddies pay for high school education.

as an aside, that is one reason students in africa, as opposed to the US, take their education seriously.
the first thing my children from Mali did when they came to USA and got jobs was to go back and build a house where kids from the village could live during the week when they were at school, since it is a day and a half walk to school, and they can only do it once a week.

some suggar dady must have seen them as fools. lol.
Instead of suggar daddying they went their way to improve many people lives. lol.

Quote from justrading:

If one reduces it to a Darwinian selection process, females will choose to mate with those males who are successful in their environment.

In humans, some of the markers of success are;

- youth and vigour. Eg young athletic sportsmen.
- wealth. Eg old croaks oozing money from every pore. Of course young and rich is nice.
- intelligence.
- power. Note how married politicians who may not have much money still have ample opportunity to ruin their careers with willing women.
- talent. Eg musicians, artists, less athletic sports like golf
- charisma, interpersonal skills. You can't quite put your finger on it, the guy always seems to score.

But we must not forget we are dealing with people, so generalisations and rules won't work. For example selfless, altruistic individuals are also attractive to certain women.

Combine 2 or more qualities and you have it made.

Great list, but there's one more thing to add: How he makes her feel about herself. This is important. While it's always best (for karma's sake at least) to make her feel good about herself, some of the sleazier guys are adept at picking up one night stands by doing the exact opposite. There was an episode of Family Guy where Quagmire taught a local community college class explaining the whole process. :p
