I respect all you guys who post here and admittingly most are probably more talented than me, but I cannot understand how you take guys like stock seriously. I always wonder whether stock, regal and others are just pulling eveyone's chain, that is the way I understand it anyway.
I picture these guys posting, then sitting back and having a good laugh for themselves.
Guess I'm just cynical, must be a N.Y. thing

if you measure YOY so far the DJIA is only down 32 percent. If it gains another 15% in the next three months it will only be down 15% YOY. That is a setback, but not a catastrophe. You have to put things in perspective.

Based on this chart, do stocks go up or down over long term? I have no idea.

I was referring to the DOW. The nasdaq chart is distorted because of the tech bubble.
