The real kicker for me was when I realized you could derive macroscopic volatility from the microstructure of Hawkes processes , when doing the calculus the limits converge surely and leads to the mean reversion effects, and then it all clicked

You are correct. In my opinion, I do not see the sense of day trading if I can not make $100 per day and it is not my own ATM machine. I personally do not believe in all the drawdown and all the trading marketing things. I am here to make money everyday. I choose $100.

Yes, that is my sole purpose of day trading, to make $100 trading the ES everyday, and go enjoy my life peace and having fun. I do not want, need or inspire for anything more than that in my trading business.

My $5 million in 5 years goal was with a automation trading. That has changed to $1 million in 10 years in other investment strategies that is not day trading manually/discretionary. This goal is on autopilot and does not involve discretionary or human manual anything.

I am not good enough or have the mental the capacity or passion to discretionary/manually trade to make $5 million in 5 years, so I quit and gave up that goal.

Do you realize how....easy....that is to achieve,
Hell, make that $1,000/every day on average....that's still the same, easy, principles to acheive,

If you really want to be a big swinging dick.....strive to make $10,000/every day on average,
Don't stop there, have a desire...to make $20,000 every day, on average, from the market,

100 bucks a day seems pretty tame compared to your million dollar goal.
They say a mans reach should exceed his grasp or something like that. Don't make life too easy on yourself. How the hell you going to live on 100 bucks a day?
