Options are not easy, especially if you are ignorant on counting the number of days til expiration. I was long 8 OTM SPY calls with 4-days on Thursday, thinking that I still can weasel out. The weekends count in the expiration. This oversight cost me $1800.

I get that, I dicked up Good Friday and lost $2000 thinking I had one more day.
I had such a good day scalping the SPY options from the short side (was up $200) and at the end of the day usually there is a short covering which was a fake out (this was on the first big down day),I ended up "scaling into" 8, note to self (stupid)

It took me about 25 years to finally remember Good Friday was a day the market was closed. Every year I'd get up that Friday and think my stuff was hung up only to find out it was Good Friday. Sneakiest holiday ever.
