Stunts Backfire on Ron DeSantis

The argument you are trying to make here is similar to one of the panel respondents on a recent Charlemagne the Odd show where he calls the De Saintes move, "genius". Now you are really reaching.

Importantly, there is a difference between being hospitable with your own bread, and hospitable with bread belonging to others. Biden's policies are forcing some of our population to be more hospitable than they can afford to be. You are implying that these people are not hospitable at all, even though by percentages, they have likely contributed more toward general hospitality than Biden himself, out of his own personal funds, or out of the personal funds of anyone one Martha's Vineyard.

Percentages are important, if you go by one of Jesus' alleged parables, called the parable of the widows mite. It's about a widow who had not much money, like two mites to her name, but gave one mite as donation to the temple or something. A rich man comes along and gives much more in terms of actual amount of money, but as a percentage of his own net worth, he gave much much less than the poor widow.

Similarly, any red state is likely to give, gladly, up to a certain point. When you start to force them to give much more than you yourself are willing to give, as a percentage of your own net worth, then you start to act like an enemy. Worse, you start to act ungrateful when you imply the red areas don't have any hospitality to begin with.

Forcing other people to pay for the excesses of your own charities is disgusting.

You can try to defend Christian Conservative hypocrisy all you want but facts are facts.

The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself-Leviticus 19:34

You shall allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the aliens who reside among you-Ezekiel 47:22

Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor-Zechariah 7:9-10

‘Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner-Deuteronomy 27:19

For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien-Jeremiah 7:5-7

You have yet to call out the actual hypocrisy, so i haven't even begun to defend any. Why would i defend hypocrisy, anybody's hypocrisy?

I've asked that you give an example, any example. You've quoted the bible. Now call out the actual hypocrisy you speak of.

Are you not aware the flows across the border from the prior administration to the current admin is grossly incomparable?
No they are not.Trump used a temporary covid policy to bypass immigration law to slow down migration as well as covid itself slowed down migration.Trump did not permanently change immigration law and Biden is following the law.

Are republicans loving the aliens as they love themselves?
Of course they aren't but of course you'll try to argue they are.

Ahh geez, here we go. My argument to you on that is that the sentences, as written, apply only to citizens. The founding fathers screwed up by not specifically saying "citizens" in every part of the paragraph. It's like the 2A argument about People and Militia.

I cry uncle man, for that discussion would take more pages than I have the energy for.

No. Many people resided in the United States at the time of the drafting of the 14th amendment that were not citizens. As a matter of fact the United States was just as diverse with immigration in the 18th century as it is today. The law has always applied to those residing.

14th was ratified in 1868....founding fathers were long dead.

No it was not a screw up..... any person in the United States is entitled to these protections under the constitution. The first part of the clause was to grant citizenship to the enslaved so that their rights would be protected and extend Bill of Right protections form the States to citizens.

The drafters could have said citizen again but chose Person because the State's power is checked also against anyone in their jurisdiction whether a citizen or not.

You think if a foreigner comes here and goes through a stop sign, the cops can beat him and throw him in jail for a week and claim "sorry the constitution does not apply to you..." It was to check the power of the state to take away rights granted to all citizens as well as violating due process and equal protection to ANY person.

UNfortunately the South violated the 14th Amendment so bad for almost 100 years, Congress had to step in again and pass laws to remind the South and the Supreme Court of the 14th Amendment.

"...most of them fleeing extreme food insecurity—were offered, among other things, $10 McDonald’s gift cards in what the suit describes as a “premeditated, fraudulent, and illegal scheme” to whisk them across state lines..."

So they want MORE free stuff? You are fleeing extreme food insecurity, and a $10 McD gift card is not enough? FUCK YOU! Deport these assholes. What are they expecting, free 3-course meals for life? Go back to the shithole country you came from. How DARE you complain about getting free shit. You should be kissing the ground you are walking on, not complaining that you cannot get more free shit on our dime. FUCK YOU! I say deport them back, because they already do not appreciate what they have. Gift-horse in the mouth and all that jazz. DAMN !
Where's your humanity? Go look for it, we'll wait.
