To the point of the thread, vaccinations certainly do work but they do not seem to work well on omicron- nor does natural immunity.

There is hope with omicron as I am watching 1. It is overtaking delta and 2. So far, not as severe or lethal.

From what I understand so far omicron is different in that it replicates incredibly well in the nose but not so well in the lungs, avoiding severe outcomes. Still have to watch it but would be nice if Covid went out as mild.

The question that needs to be answered does Omicron recovery provide any protection moving forward, does it provide any immunity against older or future variants.

If it does this could actually turn out to be a good thing, specially if the mild severity continues.
