Study supports Trump: 5.7 million noncitizens may have cast illegal votes

As someone from Canada where we do require an ID to vote, I just cant understand how anyone could make the argument for no ID needed unless they are benefitting from that scenario.

Somehow people here are able to get in and vote with no problem, I just cant understand how any adult could get by in society today without a single piece of legal ID, the only reason dems are so against it is because they know it benefits them, if these votes were going republican they would be all for having an ID.
There is no valid argument against voter ID.

Instead of a "living wage" it should be called a "no job wage", "robot replacement wage" or "restaurant killer wage".

Why wouldn't a republican in a debate use something similar to the above language?

Liberals continually create new terms and redefine words such as "common sense gun laws" or "fair share". Repubs need to do the same thing.

McDonald's hits all-time high as Wall Street cheers replacement of cashiers with kiosks

  • Cowen says McDonald's will upgrade 2,500 restaurants to its "Experience of the Future" technology by year-end, which includes digital ordering kiosks.

They are also experimenting with machines that cook burgers to order with the exact toppings wanted by the customer, and automatic french fry machines.

Soon you will just need a shift supervisor to watch the machines.

Handel does not support a "Living wage" at places like mcdonalds, because all it does is force people out of jobs and further speed up inflation, if mcDonalds pays employees 15 bucks an hour then a meal at mcDonalds will be 15 bucks, its a circle jerk. There will always be an oversupply of people who are able to work at places like mcdonalds, and no matter how much you raise minimum wage, the cost of living will just follow suit, leaving them in the exact same spot as before. There is not enough housing out there to support everyone making 50k a year, the housing prices will just double right along side the minimum wage increase.

When i was in highschool me and everyone i knew on my hockey team worked at mcdonalds for minimum wage because our coach owned all the mcdonalds in the city, it was a good learning experience, and it taught me i sure as fuck dont want to be doing that the rest of my life.

Now when you go to a drive through at mcdonalds no one even speaks english, these jobs are not supposed to be jobs you aspire to create a life on and live the rest of your life at while you raise kids, they are entry level jobs, meant for highschool and college kids who want to enter the workforce. The bottom line is if you want the wages at McDonalds to go up just quit taking in immigrants willing to work those jobs for next to nothing, and wages will have to go up. McDonalds in Canada is one of the biggest places getting unskilled laborers into the country to on temporary work permits, and the reason is because they are the only ones willing to work full time on those wages. If you want wages at McDonalds to go up cut the supply of labor, and wages have no choice but to go up.

When i was in highschool i felt rich making 800 bucks a month working 30 hours a week cause it was alot more than anyone else had, it was a valuable learning lesson, and it helped by putting something else on my resume where I had no work experience to that point.

Also liberals want to raise the minimum wage to 15 bucks at real restaraunts and bars where the vast majority of the servers wages comes from tips, all they are doing is pricing people out of a job, that is a massive hit to real restaraunts and bars where the margins are already razor thin, all the bars are going to do is hire 1 server for a section instead of 2, or else up the price of their drinks, so raising minimum wage did absolutely nothing, infact it screws the less competent/good looking server.

The one part you forget in your description is that the purpose of capitalists is to pay the minimum amount of money while maximizing their personal gain. If they are allowed to (and way back they were) employers would pay mere pennies and make employees work 16 hour days. The employers did not really care if the employees could not afford the textiles or furniture build in their factories. Employers would always search for a way to pay even a lower wage such as hiring young children and women instead of men.

The minimum wage was put in place to protect the majority of the population against abusive employers. The minimum wage has not kept pace with inflation - from a pure monetary inflation perspective the time for $15 per hour is overdue. The other issue is that employers do not innovative when they can merely pay low wages. Increasing the minimum wage forces employers to make changes in equipment (driving manufacturing sales), increasing business productivity, dropping low-skill employees (creating the need for higher-paid skilled employees), and enhancing competitiveness instead of remaining stagnant and thirty years in the past.
