Recalling the History Channel's presentation of "The Revolution"... makes a patriot proud to be an American and even puddle up thinking of their principles and sacrifices.
Most Americans have little appreciation of what "how we got to be what we are (were?)"... quite the shame.
Today's politicos don't even deserve our pissing on their shoes.

No question! The dumbing of America also seemed to have started with our Founding Fathers being damned near wiped out of public school history books a decade ago. This wasn't done for no reason... There's reason behind it.
Now you shouldn't say that as AJ openly admitted to owning slaves, and thought others should too. Lol! Gotta love PC. When AJ was around, it was common for Africans to sell THEIR people to America and other countries. It was what it was then...
As for AJ's leadership skills, and beliefs about small government and liberty, I'm a fan, absolutely! He was a top 5 best US President IMO. And yes, he had balls that klank.
