And I get that difficulty is subjective...but can we agree that Theta and IV make them the most complicated instruments? Now you have to worry about direction, movement speed, and oh yea there is a time limit now for this to happen. it's not even close imo.

You have all that in futures too but it is not explicit. Yet Future trading is as bare bones as it gets, the apex of trading. What options trader didn't fail at future trading first ?
