A lot of the time you don't even have to prove it, you just need to have a good lawyer that can cast a shadow of doubt on the situation.

Juries are notoriously stupid. make the police out to be the bad guys and they will always award money to some scumbag.

look at OJ. Walked free from a murder he commited. People on the news after that were making stupid comments like "well yeah, he probably did kill her, but you know those cops are bad guys"
 
Bottom line, he resisted arrest. Did you see the part in the beginning where he swings his arms and clocks the cop holding him? Cop would have been in his right to put him down, but showed restraint, imo.

Now, not defending cops, per se. You have to be on the other side of a drawn cop pistol to see things in a different light, and for the most part, i think the majority of them are criminals with guns, but in this case, this kid got what was coming to him.

While there are probably a lot of bad cops, I think the majority of them do a shit job for shit pay. They have to deal with the scum of the earth on a daily basis. I would never do it. I am glad there are people out there that do it for me.

I agree the kid probably did deserve it. I can even see the resisting part. but bottom line is the cops will get screwed on this one.
 
he resisted arrest, at least thats how it looks on the video ....while they may have not had any reason to arrest him , hence the reason he was fired up ( they would have had to double tap my ass on the taser)..in the end he did resist arrest and if i were a cop I wouldn't so much as lift a finger if i had a taser gun; the lady cop did ask him several times to sit still or get tasered... ...

the thing to do would have been to let them arrest you ( although easier said than done when you're not at fault; this comes with age i guess of ultimately learning the hard way that life doesn't have to be fair ) and then fight it out in court....

or the other option...stay home with the binger and some pizza.. :D
 
I thought that the interesting point to take away from the video clip besides the question of restisting arrest or not was that he was denied outright to ask a difficult question.

Even if he acted very calmly and walked out when asked, the outcome would have been the same ... the question would never have been answered.

It really comes down to how happy are you that your politicians are unaccountable to you the voter.

It depends on how the jury recieves it. I'm not a prosecutor, but I know damn well they look at the case and say,"can I get a conviction?"

So perhaps we should say,"It's not a matter of guilt or innocence, rather whether you can be convicted or not."
