A. how far is "near"?
B. "measure" what "distance? -- between tacks, feathers, ball and feathers, etc.
Have you answered those questions? -- didn't think so.

Hmm...can't find the insult in that post (and I know one when I see one).
You must be referring to the "jump off a cliff" thing which was just a quick gravity related item that I knew you would have learned not to do in only a few years on earth.
If *that* is what you call and insult it was unintentional (as opposed to my others) and you should grow some skin.
