GMCR posted 48 cents in EPS, against expectations for 38 cents. Revenue came in at $647.7 million against expectations for $629.35 million. The company raised its 2011 EPS guidance to range of $1.43 to $1.50, above the $1.25 consensus estamte and its previous guidance of $1.19 to $1.29.
âWe believe healthy post-holiday in-store brewer inventory levels and positive word of mouth from enthusiastic Keurig owners combined to help drive a very strong fiscal second quarter for GMCR,â said CEO Lawrence J. Blanford.
Green Mountain said it would offer 7.1 million comon shares in a new public offering, including 403,883 shares by people who already own stock. âThe Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to repay outstanding debt under its credit facility and for general corporate purposes.â
