Back to sharing information since I believe that life is an ocean of learning. Open our minds and learn. There are beauties in all things. I wish I have 72 hours/day so I can learn.
Mormon church is managed by all volunteers, no salaries at all. We are all responsible for our church and all members. Just like an organization, organized by groups/teams (like departments/divisions in business). Examples:
1. Disater: take care of things like flood, earthquakes. We do drills and document everything. Satelite phones, food..etc,,,take the job seriously like a job without pay working for a big organization.
2. Enrichment: This group is responsible for parties like Chisttmas, and quartlery parties so we can all have fun. I serve this group. It's fun to use our imaginations.
3. Employment: help others to find jobs. We have non.members who came to our church for help and we love it. members and non-members are all loved. This is a MAJOR difference between some christian churches It's so funny to hear that we are a cult, it's the opposite. I'm an educated woman who is extremely logical. I do not belong to anything blindly. My husband & I were invited to go to the mormon church 10 years ago and I was shocked by what we saw. I used to work for a big company and the CEO was a mormon. I also had mormon employees . I knew that they were good and nice but didn't want to know about the church (not a religion, it's christian religion) because of negative stuff floating around.
4. Funneral/sickness. When a member passed away, we (just us friends in this group) would cook for the families until the family can recover. I help cooking sometimes.

If you belong to a group and don't do your part no one would say anything negative at all. If you don't paticipapate, other team members or leader will ask to make sure if you are OK. Think good about people and they will be good. Good or bad is between us and God. We just try our best to do our job to take care of our families and ALL people.
Each group has team leader and they meet with the Bishop weekly to go over status and discuss things to do for improvements and serve better. To also help others to be happier and help them deal with life challenges.
The coach of the Eagle is a mormon. He came to our church 2 years ago and told us that he used the same method of running the mormon church to run his team.
Steven Covey who wrote the Seven habits of effective people books is a mornon. He uses the management phylosophy of the mormon church to teach organizations how to run business. All employees in the company I used to work for are required to learn the seven habits. Apply them to work and you will be happy with the results. Apply them to your life and you will be happier an all aspects of life.
I hope you learn a few things about the mormon church. I learned so much in the last 10 years. We can have it all, wealth, happiness and still be modest, kind/good people.
