Lightning has killed at least 67 people in India over the past two days, according to disaster management officials, as the annual monsoon rains sweep the country.

Lightning kills thousands of Indians every year, most of them farmers working the fields. More than 2,500 people were killed by lightning in India in 2014, according to the National Crime Records Bureau, the most recent figures available.

how anyone can believe that life, nature, in all its forms and expressions, and the human being all originated from an explosion of gases. So where did the gases come from and the force that causes such gases to collide? It appears to me that evolution theory is the most bizarre and illogical explanation of any of the theories.
It is common for evangelicals and religion leaders to incorrectly state current, scientific hypotheses. No one knows yet how life on Planet Earth got its start, but there are several as yet to be disproved working hypotheses. That organisms evolve is proven by the famous experiments of Orgle many years ago now. It would be very difficult to directly observe evolution in humans because our gestation period is long. With regard to humans, we have to be content with indirect evidence. It is easy to observe it in organisms like bacteria which double their population, under ideal growth conditions, every twenty minutes. It is also observable in non-organisms such as virus.

Scientists welcome unanswered questions. But of course they don't seek explanations in supernatural events that would violate the natural, physical laws.

Can you site the evidence for Paul having met Jesus. If he did, he must have been a child. I would be happy to be corrected on this matter? I have read that Paul knew Jesus's brother John, and that they eventually had a following out regarding the necessity of adult converts to Paul's new religion having to be circumcised and who should be the leader of the Jews that followed Jesus after Jesus was killed. I believe it is quite likely that Paul was mentally ill. In some respects he seems to have been the Donald Trump of his day, very much the promoter. But obviously far more successful than Trump in building his business, which still haunts us to this day. Arguably, Paul was among the greatest promoters that ever lived! But how would one know if any of this is true? I do think it is reasonable to assume that any religion that would require adult male converts to be circumsized in an age of no antibiotics wouldn't be popular, so it is at least plausible that Paul had a good reason for going his separate way if he was as ambitious in building his new Christian religion as he seems to have been.. He obviously would have had to find a way to avoid adult, male converts from having to be circumsized to be able to join up. Otherwise his religion business would not have gone anywhere.

How can you make such a definitive statement?

How would you know the bible was not written by some of those who knew Jesus? Paul and Luke may not have known Jesus but Mathew and John were apostles and Mark was probably a follower.

Bart Ehrman is far from a definitive source on this subject. His argument that John and Matthew could not have written their gospels because at one time they were illiterate fisherman is a massive stretch considering John lived until after A.D. 98. according to tradition and historians.
Right, and it was trendy for the Rabbi Jesus's band of gay followers to adopt English pseudonyms. I mean, how kool is that!

I thought whales evolved from elephant types.
either way, seems normal for an animal to leave the sea and walk on land. Wonder what it was they liked so much about the ocean and finally preferring it to land. (no, wolves, this is pretty recent research. Based on some spot on the whales. I heard it from the professors mouth.)
