Why they do appear sometimes between interlocking fractals?

If you know what ''interlocking fractals''are, then you know that they have a rigid fractal structure(1-2-3,bla-la-la),but not all of the time.A strange attractor appears between the interlocking fractals very often and it has either 'M' or 'W' formation,or both.Usually,it happens after the volume acceleration-expansion('VE').So i wonder, if the time variable or volume pace,or both, or something else,is the reason for that.
