Good grief the revisionists are crawling out from under their rocks!

Tax were relatively high when Bush took office and he lowered them.

Bush did fuck up though. When housing overheated he should have pressured the Fed to raise and he should have neutered Fannie and Freddie. I remember Bush pushing home-ownership at the same time Barney Frank was doing the same. The difference is that Bush encouraged home-ownership for qualified buyers and Frank encouraged home-ownership for unqualified buyers. The difference is enourmous.
 
Yup, if only a President or his Congress majority had stopped a House Rep with his destructive agenda, none of the crisis would have ever happened, absolutely no revisionism here. :eek:
