Stop paying credit cards. Give yourself a bailout!!

Read the whole thread. Some of us are deliberate thieves and others got into unforseen circumstances and had to duck and dive but are now back on the straight and narrow.Others think there are more worthy causes to defend than cc co's.Some of us understand the fallability of human nature and can give people a second chance, while some think that they are perfect and a loser is a loser.

'Your collective actions have a terrible affect on the rest of us'
And your view on bailing out the losers on wall street is....?

Sir,

You are overlooking another group…

Those who live within their means, pay’s the bills as they incur them.., and should they want to purchase something expensive – saves up for it till they can afford it – possibly even going with out in other areas of their life – just to afford it

eta - Except for $1K on a CC - everything else I own is paid for

I’ll be the first in line to help a person who wants a second chance, and is trying their hardest to make amends – because I know shit happens

BUT

I will give no quarter to anyone who blatantly flaunts not paying their bills, nor is willing to step up and do the right and responsible thing.

AND This is my definition of a loser

Define that future of yours??
You want Trader666 to define the future?#!?

Considering your stated viewpoint on this thread and the lifestyles of those who support your original thoughts on how to deal with debt, I would think that is a question you would be asking yourself!

Oh I see, your plan is to "put together a future that takes years to build and minutes to tear down". :p Sorry guy, in light of the information that you have so generously shared with us, your original post is the height of foolishness.

Your path to success requires that you be plugged into the system in an integral fashion (unlike that guy ... what's his name? oh yeah, spanish89).

You even thinking about blowing your credit over 12G's is just a stupid, emotional thought. Nix it ASAP!

P.S. Your welcome in advance.

I think there are plenty of people in government and the financial industry who should be put in prison for their misdeeds... but that doesn't "entitle" me to stop paying my credit card bills (which is what this thread is about), nor would I stand outside the Bank of England like an idiot, throwing eggs and chanting "abolish money" and "storm the banks."

Bump for a good topic. What's your view on what's going on over in London. I'm sure they have no good reason for that correct?

Quote from scot.mcpherson:

I seriously can't believe what I am hearing.

Just for the record, I haven't read the whole thread, its too huge, but....

If you intentionally had credit extended to you with the expressed intention (expressed here on this forum), of stealing that money, you are liable for charges of fraud, and if you do this over the mail its also Mail fraud, if you applied over the internet its wire fraud.

Not to mention that you guys are making life harder and more expensive for the rest of us that are or try to be responsible. It's shameful. Some of the people on this thread that I have known for this short time whom I started looking up to, I now hold in a very dim view.

Your collective actions have a terrible affect on the rest of us....

Shameful...absolutely shameful, and criminal no less...
Very well said. Thank you.

Quote from Fractals 'R Us:

The State of California where I live passed laws about public sector info, it's not to be made public at all... how the collectors are going to catch up with me is via wifey, she doesn't play along, I'm telling her what I can pull out of the deal, all the stuff that I cooperate on with her but.... she's a last born... they don't cooperate typically... if it was just me, piece of cake, number one rule is don't give out address info... it makes job interviews a little sticky... they always say "but you can't drive from there", and I say, "uuhhh I don't live there, that's my billing address".. and then they say "Oh, I see" with a look that says that they actually don't see it at all... I'm sure that when they run the credit check they get it... I did interview for a job very recently where it was obvious that they needed me so bad... it's a very narrow skill set that I have and a vacancy can take years to fill, maybe if they don't hire me they are risking never, ever, filling the position.. I'm going to laugh at ET if they hire me in spite of the credit history...
Thanks for letting us know what the future holds for deadbeats who try to shirk-the-system ... things are pretty bad when you can't even get a job that you are needed for!

Oh jueco05 ... ARE YOU LISTENING!#!??  :(

This is all starting to make sense to me...

"Low-lifes" value themselves as being worth a BIG 0--hence they sell away their reputation, their goodness, their morals, their chances of getting anywhere in life as a civilized person--for a little more than "0" an feel they did a GREAT business deal.

Quality people actually value their morals, standards, reputation, and their lives, and would not never feel they did a great business deal by defaulting on some pocket change.

My message to the forrmer: you would never sell away your bodily organs or limbs to make a few bucks, why sell away the intangibles?

What is the big deal about defaulting on credit cards? I'd say default now, avoid the rush... Three quarters of a million people lost their jobs recently, a lot of them are going to default on their cards... this bailout thing is going to saddle the economy with debt and taxes that will kill off the private sector so bad it won't recover for a decade or two, credit is going to be the least of a lot of people's worries...

I say we put all the low-life deadbeats like you in debtors' prison and make you do the menial labor we now outsource to China. :p
