stop orders at ib

ET member seanote has previously said that he uses a broker that allows him to put his stop orders on an alert server. by doing this, he said market makers don't see his orders. i was just wondering if this is how ib operates?

I don't think seanote trades with IB but IB's stops are kept on the IB servers, thus the specialists do not see them.
