Stocks to Borrow

give me please some input on your current experiences with
your Broker concerning availability of stocks to short .
I have a feeling that I need to look for alternatives since too
many times I was very limited in the amont of names that were available and the volume I could trade .
I am using Scottrade and SalomonSmithBarney at the moment .
 
SLK or Bear...if they don't have it nobody does. I use SLK...maybe twice in the last 2 years haven't been able to get stock in some of the more esoteric names....but you will pay a big neg rebate if it is that HTB.
