Stock markets shouldn't be 24/7. One good reason is technical, it would be near impossible to fix any significant technical issues. There would be major problems.

I used to be a trader in Europe. Had all the professional licenses. A lot of times, I waited for instruction from the US desk. I don't think we are smarter there than Asia or USA.
