"Stocks Could Rise When Bullets Fly"

Should anybody know of a "professionals only" trading BBS to hang out at, I'd sure appreciate an invite. Thanks.

Do you mean the kind of place where folks make foolish guesses about things that no one can know about, and other folks treat them as though it was worthwhile subject matter?

BTW - where do you think the Dow will close on May 17th? I, and all the other non-professionals are just dying to know what you think!

NEW YORK (Reuters) - If history is a guide, rockets raining down on Baghdad could spark a rally on Wall Street.

Macabre as it sounds, stock market rallies have been a consequence of war in the past. And an attack on Iraq would remove some of the uncertainty that has clouded the market.

Perhaps a sure sign that we'll continue downwards?

Over the weekend, more talk of "buy on the 1st bullet". A rally is likely just because of all the flap, comparison to the Gulf War, old Wall Street saws, and crowd behavior.... could be one of those 20-30% pops. Great! A better chance to short.

All of this spew of the Iraq concern holding back the economy and capex is nothing more than the usual Gubmint lies, jibber-jabber, and stupid-talk.

The REAL problem... "Monster debt trumps everything"... and there ain't a damn thing the Gubmint can do to fix it.
