Well you got to hand it to Stockttrad3r he sure beat several professional portfolio managers with that gain. Not bad at all. I will modify the statement, he has beaten a good number of portfolio and hedge mangers out there.

Yes, but you entirely ignored the absolutely valid points that I brought up. With growth stocks knowing when to sell is just as important as knowing when to buy.

Entering these high-fliers a year ago is a great call as they ran up well ahead of the market - and they should!

But did you notice that they were the first to tank when the market correction came and fell the furthest? So you held on for dear life and got lucky. The Fed has enabled this late-stage rally to forge ahead. . .and not surprisingly these old favorites still have hope to reach new highs.

But what then? The most probable outcome is that we will enter a Bear Market - perhaps as soon as next year. These will mostly all DROP and stay down for the count. Do you believe this will happen and will you be able to lock in the gains?

Of course not because you are inept and believe in a "New" Market (lol). Mark my words, when we come out of the next Bear Market your portfolio won't look so stellar.

paysense

what i still wonder about is why ppl hate you so much even though you are capable of a 50%/annualized return... i agree with paysense that we would have to see the results in bad years BUT i doubt stocktrader (please answer this id u see this) do you just buy and hold thse or do u actively manage your portfolio because if its the latter a lot of the damage a bear market would cause could probably be avoided by actively managing the portfolio.

The one problem i have is i am managing my moms rrsp which is the equiv. of the 401k in the states and i can;t short so iun bear markets i either have to find something that works or sit and wait on cash.

advice/comments/answers?

thanks
