BR energy related [ nice liquid oil/gas sector] had in written plan to buy BR[NYSE listed ] on 12-12 -05 am, but gapped up to much on takeover;still watch it as reminder.
APC ,& [XTO-more so in 2005, but still watch it];
& only after takeovers announced,REM,VPI, as reminders of overnite insurance swing trade premium so to speak.

Look thru lots others, same sectors .

TRB sector, good brand names but they cant seem to compete with Investors Business Daily News paper, internet news sites;
last year or 2 has been like OCT 1987 for some of them.

Stopped trading EOG when cut a loss on it;
simply to many more that still look/proved more trendy

Partial disclosure , my comments can lag up to 7 years or more like a moving average, but usually more timely than that.

Not stock tip but see now [about 2 hours to market open]Investors Business Daily ranks that Brazil oil/gas co;
in top 77th percentile as a technical rating on sector.

Dont know much of language of Brazil, but on hunt safari in Argentina;
Asked Sergio , our bilingual safari guide what he was doing, hooked up some small hose , under Land Rover hood, @gas/oil station. Maybe a bit more risk/reward occasionaly offshore/USA

Not a stock tip , but it was about 7 years ago when it happened;
Sergio was gassing up with natural gas at the Argentina gas/oil station:cool:

Good last exit on CMS!!!!!, would trade more often like that;
except execution skill like that have NOT been my strong points.

Will make comments on stock have watched/researched/traded before;especially high liquid.

XTO,HAL..... are amoung the best liquid invest/trading stocks;
careful cause they like to sell those hard some eod[end of day approximately]

:cool: Also plan on not blowing/ignoring my stops/trailing stops because of take over premiums , way too risky.:cool:

You are correct,

After doing my daily chart reviews, HAL is indeed on the upper range, unless it is some rocket ship with jet fuel, it will not go up in a 90 degree angle.

I will be selling 1/2 of my HAL position today once it meets certain conditions.

The slaughter house on NDAQ is quite exciting :D

I have implemented a few more ideas in my plan regarding longer term holds

Stocks will now be distinquished between

short term hold 1-4 weeks
long term hold 5-10 weeks
short term spec 1 day - 10 day

Because it is truely short term spec

To avoid mis-expectactions.
 
SHORT TERM SPECULATION 1day- 10day

1/2 Profits Taken @ 1% profit

Lock in profits to cover mcdonalds big breakfast with pancakes and eggs/ commissions / Trail mix / coke.
