OPs, in general, need to show and share what search efforts they have done on their own when starting a new thread. otherwise it smacks of intellectual laziness.

Thanks for speaking up for justice before I even saw the messages myself. I had already learned to ignore naysayers with no intention to provide constructive feedback, so no worries.
Time is too valuable to waste on those.
A forum is only valuable if people can freely discuss and freely ask questions. If one doesn’t like a question, one can ignore, but of course, there are always people who feel the need to attack and give no constructive feedback just for the purpose of venting all the stresses they have from their sad life.
As for search efforts, posting in one forum is part of a search effort and doesn’t necessarily equate to no other effort has been made outside of this one post at this one place. People will always be able to find a way to attack if they want.

I haven't attacked you personally, I haven't said you shouldn't use a stock scanner and I haven't said you should not ask members if they can recommend one.
What I have suggested is that getting a reliable stock scanner is only the first and simplest and easiest and also least useful step on a long road of hard learning. I hinted at a few areas you need to consider before diving in and buying this or that targeted stock, and I hope you don't put your money in blindly. I hope you will come back on these far more important and more interesting questions, right answers to which can make you a profit. Obviously there are far more things to consider in trading, and I have only scratched the surface, but at least I'm trying to show you the depths underneath the surface.

Maybe I was too sensitive. Appreciate you coming back clarifying that you didn’t intend to come off the way I had perceived. If you look at my past post history, you can see that I had posts where I asked very specific questions after describing the whole scenario and what I had tried, how I decided, what I ended up doing, what I learned, etc. It’s not like all my posts only involved generic questions, but I thought it was ok to occassionally ask a generic question and leave it open-ended to see what everyone thinks, but I guess not. People are not open-minded enough to accept questions that don’t necessarily fit the exact style they like or have in mind. Oh well, anyway, this will be my last post in ET, as this environment is too hostile for my personal taste. I have found a better place to learn options - safer environment, more open-minded participants, and more open for questions from learners at various levels. It was encouraging to see that the founder of ET @Baron is supportive of people asking questions at various levels, of different types, in various styles. It’s unfortunate that others are not like him and somehow find it wrong for people to ask questions and have to start a response with an insult instead of being helpful. Maybe these people have never needed help in their lives ever so are not naturally inclined to offer help to others. Instead, they are naturally inclined to insult first, to offend first, throw all the negativity around first, then maybe answer the question afterwards, or maybe not even. To me, this forum is full of too many people who think of themselves as too good and high up there and feel the need to insult others to emphasize their own superiority. In the cyberworld you can really see people’s true personalities as they no longer try to hide it. It’s scary. I just don’t want to waste too much time getting myself into that. IMO the world will be a better place if everyone is friendlier and don’t always seek to offend and insult others and don’t mind offering help the same way they had once received it. But I guess many people don’t agree with me and would rather make the world an uglier place (similar to how they would rather make ET a hostile environment rather than a friendly one where people of all levels can freely discuss and feel comfortable to ask questions). Just a follow-up on my earlier post. BTW, I using trending following strategy. Stock scanning is part of the puzzle. Having the correct entry and exit are the key. About 60~70% of the time, stocks will fail to stay above 50MA beyond 20 days. Just being a little patient will improve the odds of winning. Why 50MA you may ask ? Check it out yourself.

I have posted before about my confusion about why some people use traders' forums. They never give out details of their strategies, they don't issue detailed advice to new traders, they don't seek to engage in the details of tactics and strategies with experienced traders. Some of them seem to come here just to either demonstrate how trading is a scam and impossible to make money at, or they come to beat up new traders. Both seem a powerful waste of time, but I suppose some people in the world are so sad, ignored and unsuccessful that they get great pleasure from seeing others equally reduced.
For myself, I do get pleasure form sharing with new traders what I have learned, but I also find that both they and experienced traders come back and comment on whatever detailed stuff I post. They challenge it and ask questions and this is a helpful test that I have got my own thinking straight and whether I could improve whatever I'm doing. So we both gain.

ET is a very good trading forum imo.
Traders can be a harsh, critical and nasty bunch at times, but at other times they can be extremely nice and supportive.
You may have just hit a bad patch with ET or maybe with your own mood.
Sit it out, take a deep breath, relax, you will enjoy your stay if you stick it out.
