Still haven't found a good charting package to use with IB

I am looking for a good charting package that works against IB.

Here's what I'm looking for:

1) Able to pull down historical data from IB
2) I don't care about indicators at all, I don't use them.
3) Able to detach multiple charting windows from the main window, no MDI interface where I can't put one chart on the left screen with order management software in the middle.

Something that is fast, not heavy on resources, looks appealing.

Does it exist?

Have you tried SierraChart? When I used IB I was very happy with it.

the latest version of amibroker has floating charts and works very well with IB.

I don't know about the IB backfill, but QuoteTracker should also fit your bill.

QT only has 5 days of backfill.

I downloaded AmiBroker but for love nor money can I figure out how to connect it to IB.

Shouldn`t be too difficult:

1. Install Amibroker RT, install IB plugin.

2. Get TWS running, enable API.

3. Start Amibroker and proceed according to video:

Won`t work with IB`s demo feed.

Ensign does not have floating windows. In amibroker, select chart, click on window from main menu, select floating, then move chart wherever you want it on any number of monitors you have attached to your pc.

The problem isn't with QT, it's with IB.
