Steve Forbes on Fox News

I was watching FOX NEWS yesterday and I saw Steve Forbes being interviewed. He had a black padded strap over his right shoulder that extended to his left side, passing under his tie.

He was on FOX NEWS again this morning and he was wearing it again.

My curiosity is killing me and I don't even have a cat.

Was that strap concealing a medical device or is it a new fashion accessory ?

Just wondering.
 
I did not see him, but I'd guess he dislocated his shoulder and is wearing a sling. It supports the lower arm on the bad shoulder to keep the weight off the joint.

Damn, this contraption is now going to haunt me in my sleep trying to figure it out, and thinking of all the possibilities. :D

I wore one of those for a while as a kid.

It wasn't quite that ugly though.
