Steve Bannon: Same Causes of Roman Empire’s Decline Can Be Seen in America Today

Actually Bannon makes some good points.

In my earlier days I read the entire series of "The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" which my Dad had in the house.

Many times recently I have wondered if the U.S. is on a similar trajectory.

I'd be more inclined to compare it to the Moral and subsequent Political fall of OT Israel.

Rome is a simple model which deeply under-educated people like AAA can understand. Bannon is an asshole populist opportunist at best and should be tried as a traitor.

Why because he is correct?

I hope he is half correct, head chopped off bit.

There are a huge number of differences to Rome that mean we are in new territory. Even if the model followed, Rome contracted significantly before Flavius Odoacer invaded. I can't see Mexicans in that light just yet. The self-fulfilling prophecy prophet may be smarter than Trump but he is just as much a narcissist and so prone to error.

We will do a deal, make sure the silver platter is extra polished for Bannon so he can see himself as the axe swings.
