Sterling Trader Platform Alerts

Does anyone use them? they seem pretty cumbersome to me - it takes too much time/too many clicks to set them up. I wonder if there's any decent alternatives...
 
You have to use one of the platforms that are offered by your broker. What other platforms do they offer?
 
I used it. Never thought this way that it takes too much time. Just add symbol, price and done.
Or you write about scanner?
 
I just counted the number of actions (clicking menu, selecting...etc)
that it takes to set up an alert - and it came out to 10! In my opinion, that
is pretty inefficient and if you use alerts actively during the trading day, it adds up.
