Stay on guard while investing in China

NZ kind of toady's up to China, always concerned about offending.
Exports are crucial to NZ's survival, their population and internal market too small.
Unfortunately when UK many years ago joined EU, their export of lamb and dairy dried up as UK was their major market, the swing of the pendulum may have just swing back though, little too early to tell now since Brexit.

Yeah when you have an open but small economy, you are ripe for picking by countries that are large and rich, unfortunately cuz you don't have much leverage but I still felt the NZ dairy industry should've banded together to have a stronger bargaining position at least.

They probably started by planting the seeds of divisiveness. Business is war.

The baby formula price has skyrocketed. If NZ cannot make money at this rate, then I don't know how are they going to stay in dairy business.

There you go. Looks like we don't really have to stay on guard much anymore. LOL
And still they have such exposure -

Makes one to think, why they do if it's so dangerous.

Makes one to think, why they do if it's so dangerous.

These are the people who invested in MBS and CDO's and all kinds of derivatives on s*** that they know are s***. Not the best people to rely on for assessing what's dangerous or not. That $700 billion, I hope they've prepared to write off at least 50% of it.
