As a bonus - guess the race of the criminals.

'They messed with the wrong lawmaker.

Two Pennsylvania state representatives escaped unharmed Tuesday night after they were involved in a shootout with a gunman who attempted to rob them near the state Capitol in Harrisburg.

State Rep. Marty Flynn, a former prison guard who's licensed to carry a handgun, fired the shots after he and Rep. Ryan Bizzarro were accosted by the would-be robber. Flynn told the Associated Press he thinks he might have been killed if he had not been carrying a concealed pistol.

"We are used to fighting for the people in our districts every day," Flynn said in a statement to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "We certainly are going to stand up for ourselves and not become victims."
....
The Inquirer reported the suspects, 17-year-old Jamani Ellison, 15-year-old Jyair Leonard, 17-year-old Derek Anderson and 15-year-old Zha-quan McGhee, were all charged as adults.'

Kasey Nesbitt made his first court appearance Wednesday and was charged with rape and aggravated burglary.

Kansas authorities charged a Wichita man Wednesday in the sexual assault and burglary of a 100-year-old woman during a break-in at her home.

Kasey Nesbitt, 35, was charged with rape and aggravated burglary.

The woman, who lives alone, told police that intruders forced open the door of her home on Sept. 29. She says they were in her home for several hours. Police say forensic evidence linked Nesbitt to the rape.

Nesbitt, who police have reportedly documented as a gang member, is being held in the Sedgwick County Jail on $250,000 bond. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.

WIBW.com reported that police believe the main motive for the break-in was the burglary.

"All rapes are a deplorable crime, but when you look at the age of the victim, it becomes a little bit more concerning, a little bit more disturbing," Capt. Troy Livingston, from the Wichita police, told the station. "It's a vile crime, and the fact that somebody victimized a 100-year-old female is a little bit harder for the detectives to really grasp."

The Associated Press contributed to this report

Rape used to be a capital crime. Then that became another civil rights crusade because guess who was doing all the rapes.

The proper punishment for this guy involves a pickup truck and a chain.
