State of the Union

Classic Trump and an epic beat down when he took leftists to task for the dangerous and idiotic sanctuary city policies. Today senate will vote on the sham impeachment and that will go bye-bye. Democrats are left with the Iowa Caucus fiasco and a lunatic base coalescing behind a dyed in the wool communist. Lost in the wilderness doesn't even begin to describe their predicament. This is absolutely shaping up like 1972. Nixon was beatable, easily beatable, and the dems decided to run some limp wristed lefty who was then destroyed. 50 fucking years later and these dopes haven't learned a goddamn thing.

Tremendous speech----perhaps the best State Of The Union delivery in history. ---Idiot Dems are going to lose big in November. Nancy may as well have been ripping up ballots when she tore up her copy of the speech at the end.

Pelosi tears up a copy of the SOTU speech in front of cameras:

If she could get hold of the Constitution she would rip that up as well. A petulant child.
What else could she do but throw a tantrum, it's all they have left.

Yes good speech, finally he stayed on teleprompter. Just like Obama. How is this speech different from great speeches Obama gave???

Yup, he kept his dirty work quiet. It was quiet because MSM couldn't lick his boots fast enough.

In 2009, for example, the Obama White House intentionally excluded Fox News’ Chris Wallace from participating in a round of interviews pertaining to the president’s push for healthcare reform. Later that same year, the administration officials tried to block Fox reporters from interviewing “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg. The White House initially lied about this, and many in the press went along with it. It wasn’t until 2011 that the public learned the truth of the Feinberg episode. An internal email dated Oct. 22, 2009, showed the White House director of broadcast media told Treasury officials specifically, “We’d prefer if you skip Fox please.”

in 2012, Fox was mysteriously excluded from a White House conference call pertaining to the terrorist attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Fox was also excluded from an all-network CIA briefing regarding the attacks.

In 2013, the Obama Justice Department labeled then-Fox News reporter James Rosen a “criminal co-conspirator” under the Espionage Act of 1917. And all because the reporter used a State Department contractor as a source for a story. Rosen was also labeled a "flight risk."

In 2014, the Obama administration set the record for denying the most Freedom of Information Act requests of any administration. It topped this feat in 2015.

He never actually called the news media the “enemy of the people.” He and his lieutenants simply prosecuted and spied on reporters, all while claiming Fox is "an opponent" and not “ really a news station.”

and when Fox was excluded all other channels stood by it.

once again POTUS calling free media enemy of the people. Just try to get it through your thick skull how damaging this is.

The relationship is damaging on both sides. The "free" media doesn't do itself any favors and in many cases deserves the ire and criticism.

Many on the right said the same hyperbolic statements during Obama's term.

Obama did many bad things, I do not think there is a single president that did not.

but Trump rains supreme. I grew up in totalitarian state (soviet union) and fully grasp what escapes most here, the importance of free media. Remove this check and balance, and totalitarian state will be here in no time.

Imagine living in democratic totalitarian state. You know, it can go either way.

this is my biggest issue with Trump. He has very thin skin and overacts to any criticism. This results in him to call free media enemy of the people. Think about it, he instilled hatred towards free press in 1/4 of our country. This is really bad and will take a long time to go away.

no doubt and spot on. Still neither Fox or CNN are enemy of the people. They both supply news with their narrative.
