It is quite clear by every major media source that the US is in a dire predicament...

Books, magazines, and all forms of the public media have been at it for some time now...

One has heard it all by now...even the selling of the dollar by Brazilian models...

For the long term dollar cost averaging players....

One can start averaging...the US Indices and the US Dollar...

The public and the pundits are always wrong...

The time to start averaging is becoming quite clear...

Keep in mind this is a slow grind game...and you are averaging a $10 to $13 stock.....and a $13 to $15 stock...

Start nibbling...and if conditions and the numbers get worse...step it up....

The US has alternatives and will use them...

Did the consumer get a new money tree? Damn, I was away on vacation when they were handing them out.

Buy all you want, making investment decisions because of newspaper headlines is about as useful as pissing on a forest fire. The math is simple, to keep the growth rate at trendline, the consumer needs to keep spending at the rate of the last several years. The same years they were flipping houses, cashing out equity that is now stagnant or retreating, running up credit card debt and spending more than their income from the wealth effect. So tell me where the avg american household is going to get this extra spending money?

The equation that got us here is broken.
