He was set up by the FBI.
That would imply they were not BLM protestors nor Antifa trying to kidnap the governor of Michigan.
It will be a sad day in America if this rogue militia group was organized, plan to do the same in other states and inspire by Trumps "Liberate Michigan" bullshit. They make the rioters / looters look harmless.

These idiots were going to kidnap her at her vacation home and using tactics only trained military personnel would use.
Trump's rhetoric escalated this. Now 13 idiots will go to prison for a very long time for rhetoric from a President that may soon loose his re-election.
Then again, didn't Trump say people in prison are voting too ?
Meanwhile, another separate group of seven people were charged plotting to target law enforcement and attacking the state Capitol building in Lansing. Those suspects, who have not yet been named, are linked to a militia group called Wolverine Watchmen.
They were also were suspected of targeting homes of law enforcement, and ‘made threats of violence intended to instigate a civil war.’ At least one member of the group was involved in the Second Amendment rally at the Michigan statehouse in June, which saw armed, mostly white protesters flood the Capitol building with guns.

Yet, we don't know when the video was made. Thus, he may have disliked Trump when the video was made but (it does happen) change his mind / philosophy about someone in the government or law enforcement.
