Squad cars all over the place

It is eerie. Tonight I saw no less than three sets of squad cars at different locations with their lights on, going into retail stores with guns drawn. It looked like they were arresting people for stealing, or possibly worse, a hold-up. At Borders, this guy went ballistic over what appeared to be nothing.

I did not check to see if there is a full moon out tonight (cloudy skies), but geesys, I hope people aren't getting desperate to the point of ruining their lives.
