Know this: Windows machines only work well behind a whitelisting firewall. Windows was never designed to be networked in the first place. Operating systems based on Unix [Mac, Linux, Unix] were made for networking [internet too] at the outset and they can more safely be used without such stringent security..
There are more Windows malware and bug problems than anybody in the Microsoft or Security camps will tell you about. I know this because I ran a windows machine with whitelisting and another right next to it with normal security for a long time.. the one with whitelisting needed no attention at all, ran perfectly all day every day, keep your Microsoft updates, thank you very much... the other one, even though it passed all the security tests known to mankind, got quirkier over time and I had to reinstall the OS occasionally to keep it going.. was it malware? Was it buggy stuff? I don't know, it's just that Windows + Networking = sh^t...

I went to keezmovies to check out some porn and on my mac a Fake AV popped up and showed a fake C drive, my computer etc.. I did get a laugh because Mac has no C drive. even when I clicked no I downloaded small .EXE file that I just moved to trash.

kut2k2 stay away from the pornsites unless you have a mac. Then you can surf porn on your trading computer.

Same here. On the odd occasion that I had to browse some unknown website I did a restore afterwards (previous days data held in an encrypted container - TrueCrypt and the hard disk image in Acronis).
On the odd occasion that I felt that I had to check my system I ran some anti* software and have not found anything suspicious in the past 9 years.

Your first mistake: clicking anything. No means yes.
Second mistake: not using Alt-CTRL-DEL to close your browser window.
Its your fault that exe came on your computer, you obviously dont know how to protect yourself from spyware.

A few posters have commented that Macs would have been safe during an attack but not PCs ???
because Macs have much lower market share the people who write viruses/spyware etc. are less interested in creating viruses that will infect Macs.
