I see her (I guess there's no question it's a her ... ) rotating clockwise.

To be able to see her rotating anti-clockwise I had to cover the upper part of the picture, to watch only the shadow movement, then focus seeing it rotating anti-clockwise, then gradually revealing the upper part of the picture, keeping in mind that's rotating anti-clockwise. But if I relax, it starts turning clockwise again. I see that we're in minority...

EDIT: When watching the whole picture, to make the switch in the rotation I see I have to concentrate to do it at the moment when the girl faces to the left or the right.

actually, stare at the writing underneath the gif for a while, while keeping her in your peripheral and she'll change directions, this is really giving me a headtrip

At least 20 minutes now and I can't get her to move counter clockwise one turn.
I tried everything, covering one eye, half her body, looking at the image from a peripheral view. Nothing, just clockwise.

This is really funny.
Maybe if I give her a dollar she will spin the other way!

Focus on the shadow underneath her.

Think how the shadow of her foot must move in order to rotate the other direction. Mentally rotate directions and watch her body turn around in the oppositie direction. With a little practice, you'll be able to move her back and forth.

The above link shows how different people's brains access information. That same information some people didn't notice, or others felt unimportant. The same thing holds true with what information our brains take in from looking at a chart.

When the girl rotates clockwise she keeps her upper leg leveled, when she rotates counter clockwise she raises the leg when she faces us.

I had similar questions, and I'm sure others do too.

Clearly applying IF1/IF2 logic without any other contextual information is a nonsense - if it could be mechanistically applied in all market conditions then we would not need to consider anything other than consecutive price bars. (This is left as an exercise for the interested reader!)

So - where is it useful?

1. Around P1s or suspected P1s (on our trading fractal) where we have reversed and are monitoring to see what must come next if we are indeed on the right side. This is the trivial case - either P1 holds or it was never a P1.

2. Formations are our check points along the way which ask us "are we sure?". Every formation ends with continuation or change (this statement is banal or deep depending on your perspective) and change is confirmed by an IF2. Drop down a fractal (i.e. to the 1 min) for APA and you see if there is continuation (good), or, if there is another IF2 against you (oops), reverse once more. (Note: APA is more or less equivalent to an FBO of the formation.)

I don't wish to drag the thread away from the syllabus but I just wanted to point out that from my point of view nothing Spyder has posted is inconsistent with what Jack has previously posted on IF1/IF2.

I saw clockwise first, then after a while I saw it was clockwise if she's turning on her left foot, anti-clockwise if she's turning on her right foot. (I can imagine this will upset some people.)

edit: I am getting it now. When I look at the top left of my screen she goes counter and when I look at the bottom left she goes clockwise.
No idea why I need to do it this way , but it works.
