Here is my chart for the day. Any suggestions?

You seem to draw only the wider channels.

The first level is the tapes. Then when the tape is broken and when price then continues in the original direction, that's a channel. You did not annotate the traverses. checkout attach for corrections in red and yellow.

Furthermore you didn't annotate volume.

Ivo

Spyder,

I bet a lot of people on this thread would love to see live trading. Yes, the process of making decisions will be different for many, but it will provide huge confidence boost. Subconsciously many might doubt the method and it could be a root of problem.

Making 1 day of live calls should not be a huge distraction I hope. You obviously do not have to do it, but since you took such a big undertaking as educating all on this thread, I think you should.

Thanks,
redduke

Guys,

This subject has been beaten like a dead horse, here and certainly in other threads. At the very beginning of the journal on pg. 7, I asked for this and coincidently, it was Bundlemaker who stepped up first to pooh pooh the idea. IT AIN"T GONNA HAPPEN. Jack & Spyder have their reasons for not doing so.

Also, don't be naive and say videos will be presented later in the year. Its not live trading. Educational yes, but not live.

So, lets just accept this and move on with this excellent journal. I for one, am extremely grateful for whats been presented thus far.

thanks for the video tikitrader. cool site you found to post it, very user friendly.
While watching it a couple questions came up.
I was curious why you chose a tick chart of the YM opposed to a one tick range chart of either the es or ym. If I remember correctly Spyder told us to watch both and I would be interested to know which one people have found the most value in. I tend to use the OTR of the ES when I go to that tool.
The other question was regarding the often talked about oscillating black/red bar in ftt land. I saw a few of these in the video where volume was right for an ftt and the bar was flipping red/black. Still have problems with this. Looking for clues I noticed the str/sqz was neutral and the last signal it gave was the same as the bar in question ended up going. Curious what others have found to help in these situations. I don't watch the str/sqz that often so don't know if this is a reliable observation. I will continue to monitor so I can answer my own question but would also appreciate some feedback.

Okay, Now here's what I find hard about breakouts.

It looked at least 5 times like a breakout and 5 times like a failure to breakout.

How can we know a breakout is a breakout before everyone knows and it is too late?

Anyone?

Ivo

Bear in mind today is Quad-Witching. A day on which contracts for stock index futures, stock index options, stock options and single stock futures (SSF) all expire.

The market might behave erratic due to different camps jockeying for positions. Certain volume spike does not necessarily mean "accumulation" or "distribution".

Do you want to be early and wrong or late and right....What do those 5 bars tell you on a closing basis...

Ive been trying to research the DOM and T&S but havent found anything solid that gives me a good foundation of understanding about this tool. Where do you recommend looking? Ive searched the threads and read as many discussions as possible, but theres too many holes. Any help would be appreciated.
