But, how in Spyder's example does one identify the green and orange events as FTT's rather than LTL bounces?

The FTT's do not correspond to the bars you think they do. Remember, I normally add circles and arrows to indicate which bars correspond to the FTT label. In the chart posted, I only referred to the example indicated. The FTT's refer to the bars after the bars to which you think they refer.

Hope that helps.

it means change at what resolution?

Change on the resolution that you trade. Learn what signifies change on your particular resolution, and you have all you need. Change on other resolutions simply then adds to the learning process and does not require action.

Spy, thanks - I knew those bars were VE's and not what you meant to label as FTT's.

I don't want to split hairs but if the point is to identify an LTL Bounce as a different event than an FTT (while acknowledging that both ID change of sentiment), then please reconsider my question.

If the FTT occurred on the next bars (green and orange channels), but didn't on the bar following your ltl bounce, the difference in identification isn't apparent to me. I see a 1 or 2 tick attempt to continue to traverse on the "next" bar in all three cases.
Maybe I stared at it too long  .

I am comparing the now bar whit previous bar.... sometimes is not the classical gaussian formation .... but is really strong indicator of change or continuation..... it is working for me...
From my resolution level my markings are on the tapes not on the channels....:D

This is my point. Both indicate change. To paraphrase an earlier post, The different types of change signals contain differing amounts of "gusto," but each signals change. You don't need to know immediately which you have, you simply need to know the market has signaled change. As time moves forward, you 'see' what the market has signaled, and as a result, you know what must come next. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
