JSDA broke out at 3pm and looking interesting on the daily.

CYNO also provided an excellent beginner indicator sequence starting last week - didn't see it mentioned here.
 
since there are hundreds upon hundreds of pages in these journals, i was just wondering how much has this strategy evolved over the years? as a beginning hershey's trader, can i just go back to the beginning and start trading the strategy, or is there a better starting point? or do you feel that it is absolutely necessary to read every single post before getting involved?

For those who believe the Journey provides equally important benefits as the destination, I recommend beginning one's Journey at Page One of Journal One. For those who feel otherwise, I recommend they begin their Journey at whatever point in time they feel best suits their needs.

thanks, spyder. i'm sure you understood that my question was referring to the fact that it would probably take a few months to read through everything in any meaningful manner, which means that i would not be trading (this strategy) for the next few months...

... any trading strategy can be broken down into its components and then traded. this method is no different. in the beginning, it states go here, run this, go there, run that, bada bing, you have your list of stocks to trade (i know this is an extreme simplification). i realize that over time, this method has been refined, and there are probably refinements buried on page 247 of the second journal, and then on page 420 of journal three, etc.

your answer about starting at whatever point in time suits my needs does not address my immediate desire to trade this strategy (or maybe it does)... is there a place where i can go and see the current steps/tools/scripts/etc. that people are using to profitably trade this strategy, and if so, could you please point me to it.

i do believe that the journey is a large part of the destination, and i will be reading through these journals as i go along.

start from page 1 journal I, as you move along your reading speed will improve, it will take less time to read J2 than J1 and so on.
 
thanks all. i guess i will paper trade the instructions on page one of one and hopefully achieve higher level of understanding as i read through the rest. i will see you all again in a bit!

Maybe you bought my shares, ha ha.

But that's a 5% loss, right? Ouch. Still thinking it needs another day to retrace, if it holds to prior form.

I sold it at 22.31 after the gap up, then started to decline.

Bought at 21.36.

Sold FRPT at 21.58 - +13.4%
Sold GSOL at 22.31 - +4.4%
Sold JADE at 5.78 - +32.8%

Bought JSDA at 10.82, sold at 10.90 -scratch, shoulda held, but didn't see it.
Bought VSR at 7.90, sold at 7.75 - 2% . got bumped out early, would have been nice to get in for the late run up. about 7% there.
Bought GRRF at 10.15, still holding, but may want to sell quick tomorrow with 4x normal volume. Looked at it earlier, but forgot about it when the first 2 bars (30 min) were down. Coulda kicked myself when I saw that I missed the low - a 9.80-90 entry would have been nice. In hindsight, I shoulda sold near the high , 10.90ish. +3.2% now.

I'll post some stocks to watch for tomorrow later.
