Jack speaks of annotating and having projections available from the now.

In what programs does everyone annotate and where does everyone keep price alerts reaching thresholds other than volume targets for trade entries?

Threshold stocks: FORD NFLX "TRLG".

Maybe TRLG not in your universe. TRLG not TRGL.

G and L reversed. There is MSN Stock screener that I see gets most of stocks you get from stock charts.

I see you mentioned cthr and rate. I've had these on my list few weeks from MSN screen.

Try it and see . (atch)

Significant differences exist between the manner in which Jack trades the Index Futures vs. Equities. Jack advocates his SCT Method (Sustained Continuous Trading) for non-beginner types. The only chart annotation I perform has to do with drawing trendlines as described by Nwbprop in the beginning of the thread.

I use Wealth-Lab Developer for my daily charts and Qcharts for intraday monitoring. I do not set price alerts when trading the methods outlined in this Journal.

Hope that helps.

As always, thanks for your comments Spyder.

I'm just curious, if price alerts are being used with perhaps other strategies involving the same cycle stocks, how the entries are being monitored and captured.

I'm perhaps veering from main topic of this great thread.

2005-09-21, Wednesday - Update

This morning, I monitored one list of stocks (6 total equities): Those equities from our daily Hot List and from our Final Universe List finding themselves "In Dry Up."

Dry Up Stocks

CKCM CMT FORD IRIS JMDT SNHY

Our system generated two possible trade signals from the list of six Dry Up Stocks when actual volume exceeded calculated "Low Band" Dry Up Volume prior to 11:30 AM.

Dry Up Stocks Triggering Signal

JMDT IRIS

Dry Up Stocks NOT Triggering Signal

CKCM CMT FORD SNHY

JMDT did not show price improvement ($23.15) at time of signal generation (10:47 AM). In addition, MACD Histogram showed a negative return (-.1855). Also, The Stochastic Indicator fell below desired levels (5.95). As a result, I took no action with respect to trading JMDT.

IRIS did not show price improvement ($18.09) at time of signal generation (10:59 AM). In addition, MACD Histogram showed a negative return (-.0004). Also, The Stochastic Indicator fell below desired levels (61.90). As a result, I took no action with respect to trading IRIS.

Gallas2, acesheet & cowpok1027 I believe use some sort of price alert and trade a similar watchlist of stocks.

The Third list of 10 stocks comes from the middle of the stocktables.com chart where the volume change is zero. Take five stocks above and five below the middle zero selecting stocks that have greater than 200,000
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't see where vol. has not changed at stocktables anywhere
.I am looking at the heading V% and there are no 0's. today there were83 selections and using as the middle 41. and have gone in both directions
Sorry for my stupidity. also where can i find float...... yahoo has NA for float?
Thanks in advance
i want to understand this but " 0" vol change has me stumpped

Cheers
john
