Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Equities Journal

Tomorrow morning, I board a plane for my annual Holiday Trip to the beaches of South Florida. With my scheduled return slated for January 3, 2005, I plan to take the next three weeks to unplug, rest, relax (and totally ignore the market). We work extremely hard at this business in an effort to enjoy the 'finer things' that result from our success. We need to make sure that we actually spend some time enjoying the fruits of our labor.

In an effort to insure a proper balance between trading and the rest of my life, I rarely trade, or even check on the market in general, during the time I plan for family and friends. The same lasar-like focus required of a successful trader, I apply to my time away from the computer screen. "Work Hard, Play Hard!" I always say. As a result, I foresee only two trades until my return.
Over the next three weeks, I plan to trade MACD for margaritas and stochastics for sandy beaches. Anyone located in the Ft. Myers Beach area of Florida, feel free to give me a call. We can meet over Pina Coladas.

Again, I want to thank those individuals that have shared their efforts with the journal. The sucess experienced by this thread is directly attributed to your contributions. I, along with everyone following along, appreciate the input.

I want to wish everyone a very safe and happy holiday season, and I look forward to seeing (reading) you all again in 2005.

Happy Holidays!

Hello Spydertrader,

Happy New Year!

I have decided I want to take a closer look at Jack Hersheys material but before starting it I expect I will need to prepare myself by doing some background reading. I know Hershey makes some reference to volume although I am not sure to what level. In your opinion which book will cover all the essentials I need to understand VOLUME and the other aspects that are related to the Hershey approach?

With kind regards,

Andrew

I am also looking into JH system of trading, Sydertrader told me to read these Jourals from the beginning sence he has been posting this system for awhile, if you understand it please let me know as I am stuggling with the HOW TO of it all. Thanks Starfire

As far as I can tell, no book is going to help you on this. Go back to beginning of this thread and check out the links provided. Jack has written thousands of pages. All the info you need is there. It's going to take hard studying. Expect putting in 100's of hours BEFORE trading a penney.

Happy New Year all... I'm back from a necessary vacay and will join the post shortly with some possible pointers....

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone experienced a happy and profitable Holiday Season. We thoroughly enjoyed the beaches of Southwest Florida. Mother Nature cooperated providing us with just a few days of rain. Rested and relaxed, I look forward to the challenges of 2005.

During the last three weeks, four additional stocks have found themselves added to our final universe list. Although a few have issues that may prevent us from trading them, these four equities are: ULBI, GOAM, INTN & ANTP.

I'll post more this weekend after I play catch up with all the email and PM's.

NJOY...

Fixed a minor hang up that was happening with the yahoo data feed. This should resolve most probs users having been PM'ing me about.

Kind Regards,
